Verbena is an herb native to South America and was introduced along with other aromatics by the Spaniards to Europe in the late 17th century. Its name is derived from the Queen of Spain at the time, Maria Luisa of Parma. In Greece, the plant flourished and, therefore, it is very widespread at present.

A savory and powerfully flavored Greek verbena. It is an excellent relaxant which, combined with its lemony taste, makes it an excellent infusion for the evening. Louisa decoction helps in the proper functioning of the body and combined with exercise and a good diet, it can help those who want to lose weight. However, 2 cups per day should not be exceeded and a break should be taken after two weeks of use and it is advised not to use it for more than eight weeks per year.
