The Cretan "Paximadi" is a rye crouton to be enjoyed without moderation in your salads or with your aperitifs accompanied by a good tapenade .

This crouton (paximadi) was introduced into the Cretan diet for practical reasons, as households in Crete could not knead bread every day due to lack of time.

Dakos or Greek salad are quick and easy to prepare and are a complete and nutritious meal. The consumption of dakos or paximadi promotes digestion and the proper functioning of our intestinal system.
