Mati the greek eye

The reason why the Greek vaskania eye (the one for protection against the evil eye) was originally blue is due to the fact that in the regions of the Greek peninsula, the Aegean islands and Ionia (the coastal region of western Asia Minor), people with blue eyes were relatively few. A malevolent energy-vaskania or blue-eye spell could therefore only be assigned to a minority of people, namely blue-eyed people, who were relatively few in these regions.
