Verbena is an herb native to South America and was introduced along with other aromatics by the Spaniards to Europe in the late 17th century. Its name is derived from the Queen of Spain at the time, Maria Luisa of Parma. In Greece, the plant flourished and, therefore, it is very widespread at present.

A savory and powerfully flavored Greek verbena. It is an excellent relaxant which, combined with its lemony taste, makes it an excellent infusion for the evening.
