Another precious gem of Greek sweet wines that put Greece on the world wine map.

The first attempt by the Gaia estate to give a Vinsanto, accompanied by a variation of the traditional style of wine, took ten years to arrive in bottle. Complexity, balance and richness, all in a 500ml bottle.

Amber color bordering on brown with some greenish reflections, a sign of the wine's long ageing. Not entirely clear as the wine was bottled unfiltered so as not to lose trace of aromas and flavors. A typical Vinsanto on the nose, with restrained volatility contributing to the complexity of the wine's aromas and dried fruit soaked in honey, orange peel and tobacco. Richly sweet on the palate, with a lively acidity that keeps it balanced and with volume on the palate. Aromas of ermine, honey, bitter chocolate and herbaceous notes on the palate, with a lingering and evolving finish. Drink it chilled at 6°C or keep it for several years in your cellar.
